Kitchen Backsplash?
I am installing a backsplash in my kitchen, and I have chosen to insert accent tiles along with the regular tiles. The accent tiles are pretty pricey ($12 for a single 4x4 inch piece). I am wondering how many accent tiles would look appropriate for my kitchen http://ca.360.yahoo.com/patelh9 (photo of kitchen on top right of page) Thanks in advance for all your help :)

- how about putting your accent tiles only on the wall on top of the oven?
- I always have to sleep on the decision. I would get some blue painters tape and double stick it to the tile and the backsplash area. Then, I would wake up in the morning and see what my first impression is at first sight. I am so bad at making decisions that I would probably temporarily stick a large section of the field tile and the accent tile to the wall to see how it looks.
- What I think is that you would have 4 on your stove wall - two on either side plus maybe an additional 1 or 2 above your stove, and 2 on your sink wall - either side of window, and I can't see your fridge side, but obviously make it look even. Have a look here: http://www.renovationcanada.com/graphics/kit0202062.jpg That is one of my favourite looks - try putting the accents on a diagonal - that looks great - we do it all the time!
