whats a good bedroom design idea?
ok i really want to redo my room like paint the walls new comforter set and everything and i really have no idea where to start any ideas???

- just find something you really like... such as a color or a favorite bag or pair of shoes or something and use the color scheme ... once you know the colors you want to use things will just happen and you will all of a sudden know exactly what you want to do
- Figure out a style that you like and go from there - there are lots of pictures and ideas on the internet. Do you like contemporary? Do you like classical? What colors do you like? Once you narrow it down - at least style-wise, you can find ideas. I love the IKEA website for ideas personally, because I like really modern looks. If you're still really stuck - what I do is design a room around a painting or print - find a picture that you really like - have it framed or hang the canvas and pick out colors from there - even a greeting card can be an inspiration. I've done this for my bedroom and one of my bathrooms.
- Find something you absolutely love such as a comforter, area rug, or even curtains and go from there finding other things that go well with it!

- I would start off looking for a bed spread. That way you will get your color pallet from that. Look at Calvin Klein bedding. I bought a duvet almost 10 years ago from CK and it still looks great and soft-good investment. You might want to do a lighter grey or cream for the walls-some color that is more soothing. If you like your dressers and still want a change you could always paint them a different color also. A different light fixture will also make a big impact with the look of your room.

- I would start with a comforter that you really love. I prefer one that is kind of plain so I can use accent pillows to jazz it up. That way, I can easily change the look by changing the pillows. After you find the perfect bedding, choose a color from it to paint your walls and take it from there. Find lamps, an accent rug, art, candles, flowers, throws, etc. that complement your colors. I like blues and browns or blue and green and lavender for a bedroom. Both are soothing. Once you find the bedding you like, I'll be happy to help you "shop" for accessories.
