What do you think of my room design?

I'm painting my room living room Robin's Egg blue. The woodwork is white to reflect the light. My accessories will be retro style lamps, an ottoman made of a pale rattan, and the cabinetry is white, with some tables and a desk that are of a light pecan colored wood. The curtains will be the same color as the walls (can't decide if I want velvet or satin), the carpet will be a sandy colored Berber. There will be two blue chairs, and a sand colored sofa. On the walls I will have two large beveled mirrors at either end of this small room. There will be a mirrored console table under one. Also, the walls will have really large paintings. They will be on canvas with no frames on them. Here is the link to show you the inspiration for the room. 2. It sounds like an adorable, comfortable cottage type room. I would love it.
3. From your verbal description it sounds really classy, yet not too formal to be livable. I personally like light colors framed by white trim myself, so I think you are on the right track :)
4. Sounds delightful. Light and cool. Makes me think of throwing open ocean windows and getting a cool ocean breeze in!
5. the wall color is great i painted a bathroom that color and its a pretty color with white accents and trims...i would think the curtains being the same blue may actually be too much what about white or even the same tan as your carpet to break up some of that blue...
