Home decor colour scheme?
Which colour scheme is likelier to end up nicely: 1. Dark brown leather couch & chair with gold drapes and red accent bits, or 2. Dark brown leather couch & chair with gold drapes and blue accent bits? Am trying to figure out what colour fabric to reupholster my antique dining room chairs (small apartment - dining room & living room are the same essentially!)... help with the red or blue question would be appreciated!

- light blue will be a good combination for brown, red can be too hard.
- It really depends on the feel that you are going for in the room. Red would make it feel warmer and more romantic while the blue would give it a cooler more relaxing feel. Good luck, I hope this helps.
- I choose #1, in fact, I did. My livingroom set is cinnamon leather, I have gold drapes and my accent colors are red, olive green and gold. The combination is beautiful.
- definitely blue (try a robins'egg /Tiffany box) for the hottest look ( the red/gold /green thing is passe')
- Brown and Red are the colors of this season. So go with it and be in style. Brown can be a neutral. Red or Black should be used in any room decor as accents to make a room pop. So Brown and Red are must have this fall. Area Rugs can make a great impact too so don't forget them as decorating items. Check out the link below for inspiration.
