What kind of decor/theme/colors goes with a lite pine colored dining room set?

Public Comments

  1. Probably prime inverse colours would be best as they break the lite timber colour
  2. All depends on your personal flair and taste. Is the room light (sunlight) or dark? If it's light then maybe go with some bold items, interesting accents light a light fixture - above the table.
  3. Go to Housetohome.co.uk.Click on room inspirations find dining and click on it.This site has lots of pic.'s,choose one you like and go with them colors.
  4. I think sage and basil green colors look beautiful with pine colored furniture. It's a warm color, but not too dark and really shows off the pine wood and makes it stand out in your room. As far as decor....it really depends on the exact style of your furniture. But when I think of pine I generally see this in a county theme. You can take this in different directions though and go French Country or Modern Country. If it's a straight line design furniture you could even go with a craftsman style design. For a dining room, you don't have to worry too much about overdoing it with a lot of accessories. Your food and place settings will really set the table off. I'd just get a pretty mirror for the wall, light sheer window coverings, and some pretty wall scounces with candles to go on either side of the mirror.
  5. I would use warmer colors. The hues(shades) and the decor would depend on the style of the DR set, whether it is country, traditional, etc. Usually when I think of light pine, I think of a more casual room, but if the set has straight lines etc. you could get away with a more contemporary setting.Just keep in mind ultimately, you have to be comfortable in your surroundings. I would think you would have many options with this set.
  6. you should play around with the Sherwin Williams color visualizer to find something you like. It is the best paint visualizer on the web, imho. I like how their color palette is laid out, I like that you can search by color family & color name, the "painted" rooms look the most realistic, and it suggests coordinating color schemes. You can literally spend hours: http://sherlink.sherwin.com/swapp/color_visualizer/index.jsp Light pine kind of reminds of a western ranch, so maybe go with that idea. Like "bolero" (# 7600) for the wall color, and then artwork with western themes, like this: http://homedecorators30.artselect.com/perl/search?sortType=MostRelevant&t=b-c16915&openct10171=8324,16915&alt=Buffalo http://homedecorators30.artselect.com/perl/search?sortType=MostRelevant&t=b-c8348&openct10171=8324,8348&alt=Deer
