PC game involving home architecture, design, decorating, and landscaping?

I'm looking for a computer game or Nintendo Gamecube game where you can build and design a home using architecture, decorating, and landscape.

Try the Sims.
Not sure how technical you want the game to be but The Sims does these things, although very basically.
For a live demonstration, Bill Gates home is, perhaps, the best example on Earth! YOU CAN, AT THE LEAST, READ ABOUT IT.
I believe you can get the Sims on Pc and Nintendo Gamecube. It is not really an architectural game but i spend an inordinate amount of time building my house and lawn.
