Bathroom remodeling..contactor.requiring I buy tile/wall grout?

Hi I am having my bathrooms remodeled. I am purchasing the stuff myself at home depot and then just paying for the labor. He told me I need to but the wall.tile grout plus saddles(not sure if I am saying that right) Is this normal to ask for that? Thanks!

2. depends, but you should ask him to come with you. what is he charging for labor? you may want to shop around
3. If you are in a situation where they are only providing labor then you have to provide everything else besides the tools and man power. I am doing a similar project myself where I am pre-ordering everything. I am not sure what saddles are quite frankly but anything that is going into your house you pay for, tile and grout is of course reasonable and perhaps the other thing if I knew what it was. If it is a tool that the contractor can reuse then he pays for it.
